Even during a pandemic, Team #4701 collected 624 pairs of socks during our Socktober Sock Drive. Special thanks goes to David Vater from JE Dunn Construction for their donations. All socks are going to our local homeless shelter, Union Mission and The Magdalene Project, a local women's shelter.

The PCH State Championship was truly out of this world. Making it to State is such a huge accomplishment, so congratulations to all the teams who were there. It was a lot of fun working with and learning from such amazing teams! Now that the State Championships are over, the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX (Worlds) is coming up. Congratulations to all the teams competing and good luck!
The Albany Event was a BLAST! Team 4701 competed against 31 teams and again ranked 9th at the end of the qualifying matches. This ranking got us into the playoffs where we were invited to join two other teams in the 6th seed alliance. While we did not make it to the semi-finals, we were the recipient the Creativity Award! The judges commended us for the creativity in design, use of component and game strategy since our robot looked like an HVAC Unit and it effectively performed in the field.
As the District Qualifiers come to an end, the FRC Peachtree Championship approaches. Currently, our team is ranked 20th in State out of 86 teams. While there is still one more event this weekend, there is a high likelihood we'll qualify for State. In the Gainesville Event, Team 4701 played 15 qualifying matches and was able to rank 9th place and join the 6th seed alliance at playoffs. Due to the unfavorable weather conditions and the long drive home, we left before the awards ceremony where we won the Judge's Award, which was received and brought to us by a 4701 alumni.
