Starting this year, before the FRC season started we designed and built a VEX robot and competed for the first time! Our team made it to the finals, thanks to their hard work and dedication!
The season has officially started! We have six weeks to build our robot before the qualifiers starts. Team 4701 will be attending the Gainesville Event from March 1 to 3 and the Albany Event from March 14 to 16. Good luck to all the teams this season!
Yesterday, our team helped out at First Lego League. It was so good to see these teams learn and have fun at the same time. This season's challenge is INTO ORBIT. Congratulations to all the participants! Our members in Woodville-Tompkins High School for Girls Engineer It Day. We had a lot of fun talking about our robotics team and the School of Engineering, and showing them our frisbee shooter! Some of the Senior members of the team had the privilege to talk about the team and the competition. Thank you Southside Rotary for having us!
Team Update: Here's the team for the 2018 season! We're 3 weeks in. Who's excited for First Power Up?
We only have two more weeks left!!!! We've completed the gear drop off and the ball shooter, and we're working on a mechanism to pick up the balls. If you would ever like to come watch us in action we work everyday after school from 2:30 to 5:00. Remember to keep sharing our GoFundMe page because we need all the help we can get!
The build season has been going very well, and our robot is becoming better and better! Although everything is going smoothly, we need YOUR help to get even further. We've created a Go Fund Me page for donations that will support new robot parts and traveling expenses. Please donate whatever you can because every penny matters! Thank you so much for your support!
It's finally 2017 which means a new season of robotics is just beginning!! Due to the weather conditions, we were not able to attend kick off in Atlanta, but instead we had our own kick off (complete with snacks) right here at school. Ideas are flowing and our robot is being built piece by piece! We wish the best of luck to all teams in FIRST Steamworks!
